How to get to Tromsø International Airport
By plane to Tromsø International Airport
Tromsø Airport (TOS) has many flights to/from Oslo (OSL) each day and some weekly/seasonal direct routes from London Gatwick (LGW), Frankfurt (FRA), Coopenhagen (CPH), Helsinki (HEL), Gdańsk (GDN), Stockholm (ARN) and Alicante (ALC).

By Rental Car from Tromsø Airport
Option 1: Take the E8 from Tromsø, turn left and follow the road 91 to Breivikeidet and take the ferry to Svensby. When you drive off the ferry, turn right and follow the road 91 towards Lyngseidet. Then take the ferry to Olderdalen. Turn left when driving off the ferry and follow the E6 to Rotsund ferry landing (located on the left side of the E6). From here, take the ferry to Havnnes and drive west 3.5 km to the Lyngen Vista (one road, no turns).
Option 2: Follow the E8 from Tromsø to Nordkjosbotn, bear left and follow the E6 via Oteren, Skibotn and Olderdalen to the ferry landing in Rotsund. Here, take the ferry to Havnnes and drive 3.5 km west to the Lyngen Vista (one road, no turns).
Transport options from Tromsø Airport
By Bus from Tromsø Airport
From Tromsø there are daily bus departures at 2.10 pm (except for Sundays) and 4 pm (all days). The coaches offer seat guarantee, so you do not need to book a ticket in advance.
The regional buses from Tromsø leaves from the bus terminal building at Prostnes in the city center. The city center of Tromsø is on the south-east end of the island. Tromsø Airport is on the opposite side of the island. To get to the city center of Tromsø from the airport you will need to take the airport express bus or a taxi to the Prostnes Havneterminal where the regional routes are starting from. We offer a pick-up service from Tromsø Airport, Tromsø City, the airfield of Sørkjosen and the Hurtigruten quay in Skjervøy. Arriving in Tromsø, you will be met at the airport and transferred directly to our lodge on the island of Uløya in the eastern part of the Lyngen Fjord.
